Activity ideas: Storybook Adventures
Hey there! You know how our little ones have that one book they can't get enough of, asking us to read it again and again? Well, I had this fun idea for the week—why not bring those beloved books to life? Picture this: we craft a “hungry caterpillar” together and dig into a Goodnight Moon-inspired sensory box. It’s like turning their favorite stories into a little adventure they can touch and explore. I think it could be a magical way for them to connect even more with their favorite tales. What do you think?
Don't worry; we don’t have time for complicated setups—these activities use a lot of what you already have on-hand. We strive for quick hassle-free setups because we know your time is valuable.

Mom Style Picks - Embracing Functional Fashion
Discovering outfits that look fabulous and keep pace with the whirlwind energy of toddler-chasing is quite the challenge. Each week, I'm here to share fresh ideas that will make you look and feel amazing, without compromising on comfort, no matter what your day throws at you.
Yep, cleaned that …
Every now and then, we all deserve a quick victory. Let me share a couple of cleaning shortcuts with you. They're designed to swiftly tackle those messy spots, allowing you to proudly declare, “Yes, I've cleaned the house today!” without breaking a sweat.
Garbage Disposal Refresh Hack
Ice Cubes and Salt: Start by pouring two cups of ice cubes directly into the garbage disposal. Then, add a cup of coarse salt over the ice cubes. The combination of ice and salt will help to scrub away grime and food particles from the blades and the inside of the disposal.
Lemon Peel Magic: After grinding the ice and salt, take the peel of a lemon and cut it into small pieces. Drop these lemon peel pieces into the disposal. The citrus will help to deodorize and clean any remaining residue, leaving a fresh, clean scent.
Flush with Vinegar and Baking Soda: For a deeper clean, pour half a cup of baking soda into the disposal followed by a cup of white vinegar. Let the mixture fizz and work its magic for about 10 minutes. This will help disinfect the disposal and clear out any lingering odors.
Rinse Thoroughly: Finally, run hot water through the disposal for about a minute to rinse away the cleaning mixture and any loosened debris.
DIY Lavender Room Spray for a Fresh Bedroom:
Gather Your Ingredients:
1 cup of distilled water
2 tablespoons of witch hazel or rubbing alcohol (as a preservative and to help the oil and water mix)
15-20 drops of lavender essential oil (known for its calming and relaxing properties)
Mix and Shake:
In a clean spray bottle, combine the distilled water and witch hazel or rubbing alcohol.
Add the lavender essential oil to the mixture.
Secure the lid and shake well to combine all the ingredients.
Spray Away:
Lightly spray this mixture around the room, focusing on areas like the bedding, curtains, and carpet. The lavender scent will not only freshen the room but also promote a more restful sleep.
Remember to shake the bottle before each use, as the oil and water can separate.
Take a Moment to Yourself.
